Editorial Policies

Focus and Scope

The Mexican Journal of Physics E (Rev. Mex. Fis. E) publishes original articles of interest to our readers of the physical science community in the following fields: Physical Education, History of Physics and Philosophy of Physics. The language can be English, preferably, or Spanish. The articles are classified as follows:

Physics Education. Articles reporting: original ways to show physical science concepts or problems; innovative experiments or experimental designs that can be performed in education laboratories; computational techniques or simulations oriented to physics education. Articles on educational research and curriculum in physics are also accepted.

History of Physics. Original articles on History of Physics.

Philosophy of Physics. Original articles on Philosophy of Physics.

Comments. Short papers (four pages maximum) that assess critically papers by others authors previously published in the Revista Mexicana de Física E. A comment should state clearly to which paper it refers.

The Revista Mexicana de Física E is published every six months and can be freely consulted in our Webpage ( http://rmf.smf.mx). It is also sent to libraries of many academic institutions in México and other countries, as well as to subscribers and active members of the Sociedad Mexicana de Física.

By submitting an article to Revista Mexicana de Física E the author(s) agrees that the article has not been published and will not be simultaneously submitted to another journal.

Articles submitted to the Revista Mexicana de Física E undergo a review process by specialized, independent, anonymous referees. The final decision on the publication of a paper is the sole responsibility of the Journal Chief Editor.

There is no publication fee.

Signed papers are the author(s) sole responsibility.

Full or partial reproduction of articles is authorized provided appropriate bibliographic citation: Revista Mexicana de Física E, or Rev. Mex. Fis. E.

Errata

Errata. Contains notices regarding errors or omissions in papers previously published in Revista Mexicana de Fisica E. An erratum should consist of a statement by the authors of the original paper that briefly describes the correction(s) and, where appropriate, any effects on the conclusions of the paper.

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
