In this work we briefly review N = 1 supergravity in four dimensions (D = 4), also known as pure supergravity, where the action is invariant under gauge and global supersymmetry transformations. Our purpose is to encourage undergraduate students to study the theory of supergravity, in particular by presenting the explicit demonstrations of these invariances.
