El límite del oscilador cuántico a la partícula libre

Abstract

When we let the Hooke constant of a harmonic oscillator tend to zero, the system becomes free. We examine this limit in the context of quantum mechanics, where the quantized energy values accumulate to a continuum, and where the Hermite functions become plane waves.
