A reflection on the concepts of matter, space, time and fields, on which the descriptions of classical physics are based, is presented. The role of human experience for its consolidation and the importance of observing its establishment under an idea of concomitance are emphasized; understanding these concepts requires recognizing that they are inseparable and complementary.
