Revista Mexicana de Física (Rev. Mex. Fis.) is a scientific journal published bimontlhy by Sociedad Mexicana de Física, A. C.
Revista Mexicana de Física publishes original papers of interest to the physical science community. Language may be English or Spanish, however, given the nature of our readership, English is recommended.
By submitting an article to Revista Mexicana de Física the author(s) agrees that the article has not been published and will not be simultaneously submitted to another journal.
There is no publication fee.
Signed papers are the authors' sole responsibility.
Full or partial reproduction of articles is authorized for authors and readers providing the proper bibliographic citation: Rev. Mex. Fis.
Indexed in Actualidad Iberoamericana, Astron. & Astrophys. Abstr., Bull. Signal, Chem. Abstr., Curr. Cont., Curr. Math. Pub., Curr. Pap. Phys., Electr. & Electron. Abstr., INIS Atomind, Journal Citation Reports (JCR), Math. Sci., Latindex, Math. Rev., Nucl. Sci. Abstr., PERIODICA, Phys. Abstr., Phys. Ber., Res. Alert, Sci. Abstr., Sci. Cit. Articles submitted to the Revista Mexicana de Física undergo a strict review process carried out by worldwide specialized, independent, anonymous referees. The final decision on the publication of a paper is the sole responsibility of the Journal's Chief Editor. Authors may appeal an editor's decision by sending an appeal letter. The Chief Editor will consider the appeal and in case this is sustained, she/he will seek the opinion of the corresponding section editor and if necessary of a second reviewer.
Papers are evaluated on the basis of the following criteria:
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Authors retain copyright and grant the Revista Mexicana de Física right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgment of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.
The journal solely relies on the Crossref Similarity Check tool, powered by Ithenticate, to detect possible plagiarism.
However, authors must ensure in their paper's cover letter that their research is original and written by them, without the aid of systems such as AI, for instance. Likewise, it is the responsibility of the authors, not of the Revista Mexicana de Física, to determine whether the disclosure of their material requires prior third-party consent and, if so, to obtain it.
Neither the journal's editors nor any other party involved in the preparation of the material contained on the journal's website are responsible for any negative consequences arising from the use or referencing of the information contained on the site.
Therefore, it should be clear that the author assumes full responsibility for his or her work if any copyright infringement or other violation of the law occurs when publishing his or her research work.
