Ramón Castañeda-Priego is a Professor of Statistical Physics at the University of Guanajuato, Mexico. He earned his Ph.D. in Physics in 2003 from the Center for Research and Advanced Studies (CINVESTAV), Mexico. Following his doctoral studies, he conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Konstanz, Germany, before returning to Mexico in 2004. He leads the Soft Matter Theory Laboratory within the Department of Physical Engineering and is a member of the American Physical Society. His research focuses on the statistical physics of complex fluids and soft condensed matter systems.
