New Issue Vol. 23 No. 2 (2026) July-December Revista Mexicana de Física E
We are pleased to announce the publication of the new issue of the Revista Mexicana de Física E, corresponding to Vol. 23 No. 2 (2026) July-December.
Revista Mexicana de Física (Rev. Mex. Fis.) is a scientific journal published by Sociedad Mexicana de Física, A. C. It publishes original, high-quality research papers of interest to the international physical science community. The journal welcomes contributions in either English or Spanish; however, given the global nature of our readership and citation impact, English is strongly recommended. The fundamental purpose of the Revista Mexicana de Física is to publish the research work in physics carried out by the institutions of Mexico and around the world.
By submitting an article to Revista Mexicana de Física, the author(s) confirms that the manuscript has not been published previously, nor is it under consideration for publication elsewhere. Any overlap with previously published work must be clearly disclosed and properly cited. The journal adheres to the highest ethical standards, and all submissions are screened for originality.
Signed papers reflect the sole responsibility of the authors. The journal’s editors and the Sociedad Mexicana de Física assume no legal liability for the statements or opinions expressed in the published articles.
Authors can deposit different versions of their manuscripts (such as preprints, accepted versions, or published articles) in institutional or thematic repositories.
Full or partial reproduction of articles is authorized for authors and readers, provided proper bibliographic credit is given: Rev. Mex. Fis. (with volume, year, and DOI when applicable). This policy encourages educational and non-commercial reuse while respecting original publication rights.
The Rev. Mex. Fis. is indexed in the following databases and reference services:
Also indexed in the “Revistas Mexicanas de Investigación Científica y Tecnológica Index” by the Consejo Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología (CONACYT).
All manuscripts submitted to the Revista Mexicana de Física undergo a rigorous peer review process (Anonymous Reviewer/Disclosed Author by default). The review is carried out by worldwide specialized, independent, and anonymous referees who are experts in the relevant field. The journal ensures fairness, confidentiality, and constructive evaluation.
The final decision on the publication of a paper is the sole responsibility of the Journal's Chief Editor, based on the reviewers' recommendations and the journal's scope. In the case of a rejection, the editorial office provides a summary of substantial reasons. Authors may appeal an editorial decision by submitting a formal appeal letter to the Chief Editor, providing a point-by-point response to the concerns raised. The Chief Editor will consider the appeal; if the appeal is sustained, she/he/they will seek the opinion of the corresponding section editor and, if necessary, consult a second reviewer or a member of the Editorial Board.
Evaluation criteria: papers are assessed on the following fundamental aspects:
The journal strives to deliver first decision within 4–6 weeks from submission, depending on reviewer availability. Revised manuscripts are re‑evaluated promptly. See the Reviewer Guideline for details.
This journal provides immediate open access to its content. All articles are freely downloadable from the journal's website upon publication, with no registration required.
Readers are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles, as long as they respect the terms of the Creative Commons license stated below.
Authors retain copyright and grant the Revista Mexicana de Física the right of first publication. Simultaneously, the work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0). This license allows others to share the work (copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format) with proper acknowledgment of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal, as long as it is for non-commercial purposes and no derivative adaptations are made.
Authors are encouraged to deposit their published article in institutional repositories or preprint servers after publication, provided full citation to the Rev. Mex. Fis. version is given. No additional permission is needed from the publisher.
The Revista Mexicana de Física stores a digital copy of each published manuscript, its metadata, and PDF files on servers managed by the Sociedad Mexicana de Física. Furthermore, starting with the publication of the upcoming issue Vol. 72 No. 4 (2026): Revista Mexicana de Física, the journal will use The PKP Preservation Network (PN) preservation services.
The journal uses the Crossref Similarity Check tool (powered by iThenticate) to screen submitted manuscripts for potential plagiarism or textual overlap. However, the final responsibility for originality and compliance with ethical standards rests entirely with the authors.
Authors must ensure in their paper’s cover letter that the research is original, has been conducted honestly, and is written by them without the unauthorized use of AI‑generated content as a substitute for intellectual contribution (assistive AI tools for language polishing or reference formatting may be allowed if disclosed). Likewise, it is the responsibility of the authors, not of the Revista Mexicana de Física, to determine whether the disclosure of their material requires prior third-party consent and, if so, to obtain it.
Neither the journal's editors nor any other party involved in the preparation of the material contained on the journal's website are responsible for any negative consequences arising from the use or referencing of the information contained on the site.
Therefore, it should be clear that the author assumes full responsibility for his or her work if any copyright infringement or other violation of the law occurs when publishing his or her research work.
Revista Mexicana de Física is committed to protecting the privacy of authors, reviewers, and readers. Any personal information collected (such as names, email addresses, affiliations, and correspondence) will be handled and used solely for the purpose of spreading scientific research, editorial communication, and the normal operation of the peer review process. Under no circumstances will the journal share personal information beyond what is strictly necessary for publication.
Registered user data within the journal management system (OJS) is accessible only to editorial staff and technical administrators. The journal never sells, rents, or trades mailing lists. By using this journal, individuals consent to this limited use of data as described.
