Abstract

The aim of this work is to evaluate the characteristics involved in the data acquisition and image reconstruction of a microPET Focus 120 system. Energy resolution, spatial resolution, sensitivity, count rate and image quality characteristics were evaluated using different phantoms with three conventional positron emitter radionuclides used in PET imaging ($^{11}$C, $^{13}$N and $^{18}$F). Some tests performed in this work are from the new protocol NEMA NU4 -- 2008.
