EPR of borax-alanine mixtures irradiated with thermal neutrons

Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR) of neutron irradiated crystallite mixtures of alanine and borax is reported. These experiments are aimed at establishing an EPR dosimetry technique for thermal neutrons based on the resonance signal enhancement of alanine due to the boron content in the mixtures via a neutron capture reaction. Signal response as a function of boron content and crystallite size of the mixtures is presented.Downloads
